Horns in the holler - train horn event
SAT May 20, 2023
We are pleased to announce our first-ever Horns in the Holler horn honk and railroad heritage event on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
This inaugural event will be fun for all ages and railroad enthusiasts. For the first time ever, we are going to offer “unlimited” train rides for the weekend – one ticket allows you to ride all day Saturday as much as you choose. Visitors can also come just to watch, for free.
If you own a locomotive air horn and want the opportunity to hear it on an operating engine, this is the event for you. There will be dozens of run-bys and opportunities to hear your horn echo for miles up and down the Kentucky River Valley, ride in a caboose or open-air car behind the locomotive equipped with your horn, and even the chance to ride in the cab while your horn is attached. Tickets are extremely limited.
For more information or technical questions on the Horns in the Holler event, please reach out to the event coordinator Jamason Conn at jamasonconn@gmail.com
